Rajasthan witnessing surge in travel activities
During Independence Day Mount Abu saw more than 5k visitors. It indicates that Rajasthan’s one of most famous destinations and only hill-station is getting towards the new normal.
Apart from Mount Abu, there is slow and steady rise in travel activities in the desert state Rajasthan. Like Udaipur is also witnessing a good number of tourists. Althogh foreign tourist are not expected any time soon, locals are returning in good numbers. In places like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Pushkar and Jaisalmer, resorts on the outside of city areas are being looked at by visitors. And there are some fun activities available in those resorts.
*During Independence Day weekend this trend was visible across many parts of the country. Resorts at safe and drivable locations from cities were booked with almost full capacities.
KERALA – Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is open now
The eco-tourism activities have begun now in Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary on 19th August.
However at Muthanga and Tholpetty eco-tourism centres there will be strict adherence to Covid 19 protocols. So i advise you to check those before planning a visit to these two places.
According to forest officials there, it is very unlikely that visitors from outer states are expected to arrive any time soon, but hey reiterated the places are safe to hang around.
Meanwhile, forest department has reopened Silent Valley National Park as directed by Union Ministry of Forest & Environment. Bookings for visitors also started on Tuesday and for now, they will be allowed to undertake Keeripara trekking and Sairandhri Safari by adhering to Covid regulations.

But you have to make advance booking of accommodation for minimum of 10 days.
Yes, two most famous destinations of kullu specially known for adventure activities will open hotels, guesthouses and homestays from 5th September for tourists. They have to present a covid negative certificate acquired not more than 72 hours ago. And have to confine themselves for first 5 days but can go in the remaining 5 days for sightseeing with local guides. Tourists are also advised to use their own vehicles.
Before you plan anything i would suggest you to check for everything about the situation there as there is an unrest among local villagers there. Some people also faced difficulties in terms of getting entry clearance from officials there.
Some good news from few other states also
– Authorities in Delhi have decided to allow hotels start operating. They too have to comply with all the Covid 19 protocols.
– Odisha eco-tourism is also trying to get on feet to revive the tourism and hospitality sector of the state. For that the state is organizing a special training program for community members to familiarize them with all the necessary Covid 19 protocols and safety measures which needs to be undertaken when the eco-tourism activities start.
